Wat Phra Kaew is located at Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phetchabun Province. There were originally three temples lined up: Wat Phra Singh on the north, Wat Phra Kaew in the middle and Wat Phra Suea on the south. There are important historical sites which are; the chedi behind the Ubosot in Wat Phra Singh and "Prang Kleam Carambola" at Wat Phra Kaew. The Fine Arts Department assumed that the unearthed Buddha image was built more than seven hundred years ago.
